Who is the Atascosa Family Crisis Center? The Atascosa Family Crisis Center, Inc., (AFCC) was organized in April, 1992 as a tax
exempt, 501(C)(3), non-profit Corporation. Our purpose is to provide adult victims of domestic violence assistance and support enabling them to gain the strength to make changes in their lives. We provide those services that will
assist individuals in times of crisis and educate the community to be aware of and to respond to the problems of violence and abuse. The formation of this Center was made possible through the unified efforts of local governments, law
enforcement, organizations and individuals who believed direct services administered from within our county would offer opportunities for more efficient and effective treatment for our rural victims who have few resources and much isolation.
